Anna Pearl daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George Smith was born Nov 1, 1889 in Decatur County, Iowa and departed this life Nov 27, 1922 at her home in Mercer County, MO aged 33 years and 26 days. She was united in marriage to Jeff Coker March 25, 1916 and to this union two sons Herschel and Albert were born.
Pearl was converted and united with the Protestant Methodist Church at the Collins Church at the early age of thirteen where she retained her membership until the time of her death and when the call came she was ready to go. To serve her loved ones was her greatest desire on earth. She leaves to mourn her death her husband, two sons, her mother, five sisters, three brothers and a host of relatives and friends.
Her funeral was held at the Otterbein Church Tuesday Nov. 28. 1922 conducted by her pastor, Rev. C.F. Burns in the presence of a large crowd of sympathizing friends after which the body was tenderly laid to rest in the nearby cemetery.
