TOWER CITY- Albert R. "Foo" Carl, 79, of Reiners School Road, passed away Sunday at the Holy Spirit Hospital, Camp Hill.
Born in Williamstown, May 18, 1930 a son of the late Robert and Christina Woffenton Carl.
He was a 1949 graduate of the former Tower City High School.
He was an army veteran of the Korean War.
He retired after 41 years of service with the Conrail Railroad, Enola yard.
He was of the Lutheran faith; a life member of the Orwin Fire Company and the Gratz V.F.W. #2385.
Foo was an avid outdoorsman, enjoying hunting, fishing and gardening.
In addition to his parents he was pre-deceased by a grandson Dallas Lodish; a sister Loretta Williams and two brothers, Robert and Edwin Carl.
Surviving are his wife of 55 years, Joan M. Pautienus Carl; Three sons, Raymond and his wife Lisa, Pine Grove; Michael and his wife Jessica, Clarks Valley and Patrick, Washington D.C.; 4 Daughters, Janice wife of Jim Clouser, Muir; Sandi wife of Alex Mendinsky, Orwin; Christine wife of the late James O'Shaughnessy, Virginia and Nancy wife of Tim Mihalko, Dover, PA. 13 Grandchilren, 5 Great Grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11:00 am from the Chapel of the Dimon Funeral Homes, Inc. Tower City with Rev. Edward Gobrecht. Burial with full military honors will be in Indiantown Gap National Cemetery.
