Hazel Petrey, 85, Palmyra, died Tuesday, February 24, 2004, at her daughter’s home in Palmyra. A native of Pineville, KY, she was a homemaker and a member of the Palmyra Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Petrey; her mother, Rosa; her father, Kinley Hopkins, and a brother, Jewell Jackson. Survivors include a daughter, Juanita Kiesler; a sister, Dica Simpson; seven brothers, Bill and Paul Hopkins, Carl Broughton, and Ernest, Virgil, Gene and Kelly Jackson; four grandchildren, and nine great-grandchildren. Funeral: Saturday, February 28, at Love Funeral Home in Palmyra with burial in Palmyra Cemetery.
