Kenneth Caddell Anderson, 79, of 1513 Westwood Drive, Pulaski, VA died Sunday night, Jan. 18, 2009 in the Pulaski Health and Rehab Center. He was born in Cambria, VA on March 22, 1929 and was the son of the late Charles R. Anderson & Inie Ryan Anderson. He was a member of the First Pentecostal Holiness Church, Pulaski, a retired employee of R.A.A.P. in Radford with 39 years of service and he was a veteran of the United States Army having served in Korea. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Masonic Lodge #159, Snowville, VA, a member of the American Legion Post #7, Pulaski and a member of the VFW Post #1184, Pulaski. Surviving are his wife Alene Haney (Dockie) Anderson, Pulaski; daughters & son-in-law, Denise & Mark Simmons, Pearisburg, Regina & Michael Dalton, Richmond; sister, Julia Hawkins, Draper; brother, Paul Anderson, Pulaski; grandchildren, Andrew Simmons, Brittany Simmons, Olivia Simmons, Jenna Leigh Dalton, Chandler Dalton, and Juliana Dalton. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. from the First Pentecostal Holiness Church (Family Worship Center), Memorial Drive, Pulaski with Dr. C.R. Conner officiating. Burial will follow in the Highland Memory Gardens, Dublin with Pulaski VFW Post #1184 conducting the military graveside rites. Visiting will be Wednesday evening at Stevens Funeral Home where the family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers the family wishes that memorials be made to the First Pentecostal Holiness Church or to the charity of one's choice.
