Mrs. Emeline Darst Dead

Gonzales, Texas, May 9. - Died, at the family residence, last night in Gonzales, Mrs. Emeline Darst, aged 81 years, 8 months and 12 days. Mrs. Darst came to Texas with her father, Adam Zumwalt, in 1828, and has lived in this county ever since then. Her husband, D.S.H. Darst, who is a few months older, came here in 1831. Besides her husband, she leaves two children and several grand and great grand children. The funeral services will be held at the Presbyterian church tomorrow at 4 p.m. and the interment will take place at the Masonic cemetery.

The above is the grand mother of Misses Genevia and Kaleta Darst of this city, who have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their loss.
