Marcus Lee Weikle, 45, of 517 Pine St. South Charleston W.Va. died unexpectedly Sunday. He was born May 26, 1917 in Roncevert W.Va. The son of Bernie C. Weikle and the late Margaret Ann Morgan Weikle. At the time of his death, he was employed by the Bert Wolfe Ford Co. in Charleston and had formerly operated a sea-plain base and flying school. He was a licensed commercial air pilot instructor, and was a veteran of World War II. He had been a former resident of Covington Va..

Surviving other than his father are his widow Mrs. Betty Weikle; four daughters, Mrs. Calvin (Jo Ann) Ward, Mrs. Thomas (Patty) Glover and the Misses Mary and Margaret Weikle, three sons Marcus Jr., John and Michael Weikle; two sisters Mrs. Theldra Humphries and Mrs. Dorothy Buckland. Also six brothers Lawrence, Wheeler, Layman, James, Cebert and Warren Weikle, and one grand-daughter.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday at the Degnam Funeral Home in South Charleston at 10 a.m. with the Rev. Edward A. Griffin officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Memorial Park in South Charleston W.Va.
