~0bit~Death came suddenly last Wednesday evening January 29, at 5 o'clock, to Mrs. Mae Carson at her home near Coggon. The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church here Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock. The Rev. Biddle, pastor of the Christian Church at Coggon, officiated. Mrs. Eckland and Mrs. Dorothy Sauer sang "Beautiful Isle of Somewhere", "He came to the Garden" and "God will Take care of You". The Pallbearers were Emmet Shaffer, Danny Powell, Ashley McCright, Walter Baty and Willie Shaffer. Hundreds of friends of the family assembled at the church to pay their respects. The flowers were many and most beautiful, expressing beautiful memories for the departed and showed the respect the family held in this community where they have made their home for many years. LaVina Mae Winistorfer, daughter of Joe and Mary Winistorfer, was born May 1, 1898, near Silver Creek Delaware County, Iowa and departed this at the age of 31 years, 9 months and 29 days. On January 3, 1918 she was united in marriage to G. E. Carson. To this union six, Vernon, Garland, Leland, Joe, Ruby and an infant son. All her life was spent in this vicinity except about seven years that she lived near Edgar, Wisconsin. Mae, as she was best known, was a kind loving wife and mother. A woman whose home and family were her first thoughts. She is survived by her father and mother, Mr. and Mrs. Winistorfer of Edgar, Wisconsin; her husband, four sons and one daughter; five brothers, and one sister: Charles, of Troy Mills, William of Wausau, Wisconsin, Loren, James and Merle of Edgar, Wisconsin, and Mrs. Mildred Porter of Walker. besides these are other relatives and a host of friends who will greatly miss her loving ways. Two brothers have preceded her in death; John, at the age of 15 years, and an infant.
