He was the son of Samuel Leonidas Ewing and Mary Long and the husband of Mary Frances Lincoln (married 12 July 1885, Comanche Co., TX). Note that father and daughter, Opal, died the same day. Wife, Mary Frances, was pregnant at the time with daughter Frances L., who only lived 9 months.
