The funeral service for Homer Thomas "Tommy" Swayne III of Smyrna was scheduled at 11:30 a.m. today at Sulphur Well Church of Christ.
Randy Stephens was to officiate. Burial was to follow in the church cemetery.
Family members served as pallbearers.
Visitation was today at the church. McEvoy Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Swayne, 53, died Wednesday, Aug. 12, 2009, at Skyline Medical Center in Nashville, following an extended illness.
Locally, he leaves some uncles, aunts and cousins.
Born March 19, 1956, in Benton County, he was the son of Marjory Derrington Swayne Thompson of Smyrna and the late H.T. Swayne Jr.
Swayne was formerly employed with the Tennessee Department of Transportation in Weakley County. He attended Dresden High School and was a member of Dresden Church of Christ.
He also leaves a sister: Karen Flowers of Huntingdon.
