Mr. Ackley was born on July 14, 1902 to Simon and Myrta (Anderson) Ackley. He was a member of the Plain City Presbyterian Church, past master Avery Lodge; past patron Level Chapter OES in Hilliard. He was also a member of the York Life.
He leaves his wife, Ruth; his father, Simon, in Plain City; a brother, Cletus Harold in Douglas, Arizona; and two sisters, Lucile Ackley of Pataskala, and Mrs. Tom (Pauline) Conley in Columbus.
Ferguson Funeral Home to hold services at 2 p.m. on Friday. Burial will be made in Jerome Township Cemetery.
