ADAMS, Isabell Augusta (Karcher) — Age 89, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, October 8, 2004. Isabell was born on August 8, 1915, in Roseburg, Oregon, to William Albert Karcher II and Jennie Davenport.

She was the granddaughter of two Oregon pioneer families (Jones and Davenport) of Douglas County.

She grew up in South Deer Creek and attended Deer Creek School until 8th grade. She graduated from Roseburg High School in 1935.

Isabell married Ivan Dale Adams on June 23, 1935. She had four children, nine grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Isabell was affectionately called "Little Grandma" by all her family. She attended most recently the Victory Baptist Church. Isabell was very active in South Deer Creek Grange for over 60 years and played the piano for many Grange functions. She was an accomplished pianist and loved playing for friends, family, and church. She also loved flowers, reading and sewing. Isabell was known as a loving and caring lady who cared for her invalid husband and several other family members through the years.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dale; daughter, Marietta; her parents; and brother, Bud Karcher. Isabell is survived by her three sons, Ivan and his wife, Nancy of Ralston, Nebraska; Robert and his wife, Renita; Ralph and his wife, Cindy, all of Roseburg; brother, Edward Karcher of Dixonville, Oregon; grandchildren, Debbie; Lisa; Jimmy; Scott; Andrea; Charlene; Aaron; Erik; Kyle; nieces, nephews, great-grandchildren, and great great-grandchild.
