Buford Wesley Banks, age 87, went home to be with the Lord Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at Homestead of Denison.
Buford was born on November 25, 1921 in Scroggins, Texas the son of Bonney and Rosa (Brackett) Banks. He retired from Pillsbury and was the original founder of Ok Roofers. Buford loved being outdoors, fishing, especially crappie fishing. Buford was a member of Southside Baptist Church where he had served as past deacon and treasurer for over 30 years. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He will be missed greatly by his family and friends.
Buforrd is survived by his loving family: wife, Juanita Banks of Denison; son Gary Banks and wife, Linda of Denison, daughter, Glenda Coffman and husband, Tom of Frisco, Texas; grandchildren, Bradley Coffman, Chris Coffman, Stephanie Clark and husband Ronnie and Gary Wayne Banks and wife, Somer; great-grandchildren, Caitland Coffman, Tyler Coffman, Mia Coffman, Clay Langford, Cameron Fallon, Ty Clark and Macey Clark; brother Robert Banks and wife Paula of Cedar Hills, Texas. Buford was preceded in death by his parents, first wife, Dorothy Banks, siblings, Margaret Palmore, James Banks, Emma Lou Murrell, Ben Banks, Charles Banks, aand half brother, George Ray McDonald.
