He worked for both the Big 4 and NYC railroad, retiring from the latter after 40 years service. He raised Beagles and had a Field Trial Champion, Creaser's Buckeye Jack. He gave away more dogs than he ever sold.
He made his home in retirement with his son, Marion & family. He doted on his two granddaughters, Beverly and Donna. Donna's first solid food was soggy Wheaties spoon fed to her on his knee.
Although slender in build and probably no more than 5'6" his heart and compassion for others made him seem much larger in life.
He tended a garden in retirement and the bounty he raised was shared with neighbors, especially the Baptist Parson King and his family. At his death, his willingness to share with others was noted by many.

RETIRED RAIL CONDUCTOR DIES
Rites Tuesday for Rollie E. Creaser
Rollie Edwin Creaser, 77, retired New York Central Railroad conductor, died at 8:30 a.m. Sunday at the home of his son, Walter M. Creaser, at Burney. He had not been well for a number of months but his passing was unexpected.
A native of Dillsboro, he was born on Dec. 23, 1875, and was the son of Thomas and Elissa Creaser.
Reared in Dearborn county, he had resided in Cincinnati for a number of years during his active years as a railroad employe. At the time of his retirement he was service as a conductor and had been employed by the New York Central Railroad Company for 40 years.
He later moved to Columbus and lived in Greensburg for 11 years before locating with his son at Burney 15 years ago.
Mr. Creaser was a member of the Greensburg Methodist church and the Order of Railway Conductors.
His marriage to Emma Canfield occurred at Wilmington on March 16, 1898.
The survivors are: The widow, Mrs. Emma Creaser, of Burney; two sons, Walter M. Creaser, of Burney, and Edwin L. Creaser, of Dallas, Texas; two brother, Charles Creaser and Walter Creaser, of Indianapolis; five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. A daughter, Mrs. Gladys Sanders, preceded him in death on Feb. 27, 1924.
Funeral rites will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Howe funeral home. The Rev. Irvin T. King, pastor of the Burney Baptist church, will officiate. Burial will be made in the Milford cemetery. The body is at the funeral home, where friends may call.
