In Memory of Glenn Roy Day
Glenn Roy Day was b. May 9, 1917 to Oliver and Annie Day at Chandler, Ok. He departed thes life Thursday, December 28, 1995 at Hillcrest Medical, Tulsa, Ok., at the age of 78 years, seven months and 19 days. He attended schools at Depew . Glenn served in the united States Army durning World War II from October 15, 1941 to October 26, 1943. He served in the foreign services from May 22,1942 to October26, 1943 at which time he recieved his Honorable Discharge after serving with "Battery "K". 93rd, Coast Artillery.
Glenn moved from Okmulgee, Ok the the Bristow area after serving in the Army, and had been a Bristow resident ever since then. He was a retired self-employed truck driver. He was a member of The Bristow VFW Post #3656. He was also a member of The Bristow House of Prayer. Glenn was a kind and caring person to his family and friends. He loved around people and his family.
Glenn is survived by one brother and sister-in-law, Earl and Clita Louise Day of Tulsa, Ok, one sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Orbie Pitts of Bristow, several other relatives and close friends. He was preceded in death by both parents, four sisters, one brother and one infant son.
Funeral services were held in the Hutchins-Maples Funeral HOme at 1:30 p.m., Tuesday, January 2, 1996. Reverebd Bill Ashworth and Reverend Scott Lewis officiated. Interment was in the Oakdale Cemetery in Depew, Ok under the direction of the Hutchins-Maples Funeral Home.
