OBITUARY
Pearl Lucetta Mason was born near Dorchester, August 30, 1892 and passed away peacefully away at the home of her parents Mr. and Mrs. Lewis C. Mason, Seward, Nebr. Oct. 25, 1919, aged 27 years, 1 month, 25 days. She grew to womanhood on the farm with her parents near Dorchester and was united in marriage to Wm. H. August, the 22d of December 1909. To this union were born two sons, Floyd LaVerne, aged 6 years and Warren Lewis, 3 1/2. She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her husband and children, a mother and father, one sister and two brothers, also a large number of other relatives and friends.
She united with the Christian church, of Dorchester, during the ministry of Rev. Floyd Bash, and was an earnest and faithful attendant until her health failed her. In March 1919 she left with her nurse for Florida, in the hope of regaining her health. She was so cheeful as she left home and friends and seemed confident of regaining her health, and was always planning what she would do when better. But our will was not God's will and in May she began to fail, but did not let her loved ones know that she was so bad until almost the last of July, and as soon as they knew she was worse, her husband and children, and her father and mother went to her at Lakeside, Florida. from there the doctor advised taking her to North Carolina, so they took her there where they remained for a little over a month. She continued to grow worse and the firest of Steptember they started for Seward, Nebr., where she passed the remaining days at the home of her parents.
Interment was made in the Dorchester cemetery.
