William Albert Wininger, Sr., loving known as "Al", 66 a native of Georgetown, passed. Visitation will be held at The Gabriels Funeral Chapel, 393 North IH35, Georgetown, on Sunday, August 16, 2009 from 2:00PM to 4:00PM. Graveside service will be held on Monday, August 17, 2009 at 10:00AM at Berry's Creek Cemetery.
Al was born June 21, 1943 to Albert Jacob and Marjorie Nell Sedberry Wininger. Being a lifelong resident of Georgetown, he attended high school and went on to work for the City of Georgetown. Al was a municipal worker and most recently a supervisor. Al married Sandra Lynn Cornett on May 15, 1962 in Weir, Texas. Al loved the outdoors, enjoyed deer hunting and fishing and spending time with family and friends.
Al is preceded in death by his father, Albert Wininger. Al leaves behind to cherish his memory his loving wife of 47 years, Sandra Wininger; his children, Janie Lynn Gill and her husband Michael, Albert Wininger, Jr. and his wife Sandra; his mother, Marjorie Nell Wininger; his six loving grandchildren, Sarah Paddack, Amanda Gill, Jacob Wininger, Kimberly Gill, Jeremy Wininger, and Courtney Gill; along with many other loving family members and friends.
Those wishing to make memorial donations in Al's name should do so to the American Cancer Society or to the Special Olympics.
