He is proceeded in death by his father, Pete Hernandez.
He is survived by his children, daughter; Renee Genel, and son; Jason Michael Genel, five grandchildren: Aaron and Michael Valdez, Jayzon, Billy, and Angelina Genel, the mother of his children Karla Klemm Raley, his mother; Carmen Hernandez, Sisters & Brothers; Lorraine Genel, Robert Genel, Peter Hernandez, Mario Hernandez, Joseph Hernandez, Rosemarie Perencevic, Camille Bixler, Kathleen Archuleta, Raymond Hernandez, Jeffrey Hernandez, Stephanie Hernandez, Christopher Hernandez, Victoria Hernandez; and nieces and nephews to numerous to count.
