When nine years of age she came with her father's family to reside in Holland Twp. on the Garafraxa Rd., near Williamsford.
Sixty-four years ago she was married to Mr. William Howey and with her husband went to reside near Massie, Holland. There she filled a very large place in the social life of the community until about twenty years ago when with her husband she moved to Owen Sound, where she resided up to the time of her death.
Her husband predeceased her eleven years. She was a life-long member of the Methodist Church and during her many years she was not only a constant attendant, but an earnest worker of the church.
