The records for Thaddius Everette Browning are somewhat confusing. "Minnesota Deaths and Burials, 1835-1990" list his date of birth as March 9, 1886 (not 1866). The record list his parents as Joseph and Julia (Everette) Browning and his wife as Esther M. Browning. The death date matches this record.

A Thaddius Everett Browning with the same birth date (3/9/1886) married Margaret Ward (B. 1891, Iowa) in January of 1911, and she again was listed on his WWI draft card while living in South Dakota. Together they had at least 5 children: Ward (~1913), Helen (~1914), Jane (~1915), Caroline (1919), and Mabel (~1921). As of the 1925 Iowa census, they were living in Cushing, Woodbury County, Iowa. Thaddius listed his occupation as manager of a lumber yard. I believe this is the correct Thaddius/Thaddeus E. Browning.

However, I found a marriage record for "Margaret Ward Browning" dated August of 1933. Thaddius was still alive at that time, but the Iowa marriage record lists Margaret as "widowed."

There was an Esther M. Browning living in Minneapolis, who recorded her marital status as "widowed" in the 1940 census, but I cannot confirm if that is the correct Esther (nor can I find any marriage record through ancestry or familysearch). A 1930 Minneapolis city directory lists a "Theo E." and Esther M. Browning living at 1515 La Salle Avenue, Apartment 11. He was listed as a painter for F. A. Leekley Company. In 1935, they had moved to 1704 1st Avenue S in Minneapolis. I believe that home no longer exists, and was likely demolished to make way the construction of I94. This would have been just across the street and up and few feet from the old Abbott Surgical Hospital.
