CHESTER - Lloyd Ferrell 84, of Chester, died on Saturday, July 12, 2008, at the Stone Pear Pavilion of Fox Crest following a brief illness.
A son of the late Lloyd R. and Sadie LeMasters Ferrell, he was born on Sept. 15, 1923, in Middlebourne, W.Va.
Lloyd retired as a supervisor from the Homer Laughlin China Company after 33 years of service and was a member of the Virginia Avenue Church of Christ. He also had attended schools in Middlebourne.
His first wife, Opal L. Ferrell, preceded him in death along with a great-granddaughter, Payton Hilton, and three brothers, Russell, Howard, and William Ferrell.
Survivors include his wife Virginia Goddard Ferrell whom he married on March 15, 2001.
Also surviving is a son Fred A. Ferrell and his wife Jackie of Hudson, Ohio; a stepson, James Pinney and his wife Beverly of Ocala, Fla.; grandchildren, Greg Ferrell, Melissa Hilton and her husband Jeff, and their son Nathaniel, Amy Bragg and her husband Jim and their children Regan and Cadence.
In addition, stepgrandchildren Dale Pinney and his wife Mandy and their children Jakob and Autumn also survive.
Entombment will follow the services on Tuesday at the Shadow Lawn Memory Gardens in Newell
