Mrs. Lillian C. Batson, 60, of 119 W. Cherry St., Hartford, died at 11 a.m.- Sunday at Barnes Hospital in St. Louis.
She was employed as a nurses' aid at the Madison County Shelter Home in Edwardsville for 18 years.
Surviving are her husband, George W. Batson; two daughters, Mrs. Earl (Donna Jean) Dennis of Madison, 111. and Mrs. Don (Georgiann) Reynolds of Edwardsville; two sons, Charles D. of Bethalto and James L. of Tulsa, Okla.; six grandchildren ; four brothers, James Beasley of
Wood River, Donald B. Beasley of Wood River the Rev. Eugene B. Beasley of Mounds, 111. and Jack Beasley of Eldorado and seven sisters, Mrs. Marie Tucker of Eldorado, Mrs. Lucy Ailsworth of Moro, Mrs. Pauline McReynolds of Wood River, Mrs. Amanda Coale of
Roxana, Miss Mabel Beasley of Alton, Mrs. Bonnie Yemm of East Alton and Mrs. Jaunita Butler of Eldorado.
Friends may call after 5 p.m. today at Smith Funeral Home in Bethalto, where funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Les Preushner officiating.
Burial will be in Upper Alton Cemetery.
