Mrs. Susan Boothe Rigney, 79, died yesterday at her home in Dublin. She is survived by her husband, James J. Rigney; six daughters, Mrs. G.W. Akers of Draper, Mrs. J.H. Williams of Knoxville, TN; Mrs. Allen Nichols of Mt. Airy, NC; Mrs. John Reed of Barre, VT; Mrs. J.H. Farris and Mrs. M.D. Saunders, both of Pulaski. Also, four sons, Kelley I. Rigney of Radford; Vernon D. Rigney and Basil G. Rigney, both of Pulaski and Wyseman Rigney of Dublin. One brother, Lee Boothe of Kansas City, MO; one sister, Mrs. J.B. Dalton of Christiansburg; 29 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be held Friday at 3 p.m. from the Thornspring Methodist Church, with services conducted by the Rev. Carl Glasow and the Rev. John Atkins. Burial will follow in the Dublin Church cemetery. The body will remain at Strickler's Funeral Home until one hour before services.
