CARRICK - In Oakland, February 11, Delfina A., beloved wife of G. N. Carrick, and daughter of ex-Governor Juan B. Alvarado, a native of Monterey, Cal., aged 47 years.
The funeral will take place tomorrow (Monday), at 8:30 o'clock, from her late residence, 863 Alice Street; thence to the Church of the Immaculate Conception, where a solemn requiem mass will be celebrated for the repose of her soul. Interment, St. Mary's Cemetery.

The Funeral This Morning of a Noted
California Woman
Delfina A. Carrick, one of the most esteemed ladies belonging to the old California families, died at her home at 863 Alice Street, last Saturday, after a lingering illness. The deceased lady was a daughter of ex-Governor Juan B. Alvarado and was born in Monterey forty-seven years ago while her father was governor of this state under the Mexican rule. Her mother was a member of the Castro family. She was educated at the convent in Benicia. About fourteen years ago she married G. M. Carrick, who was then a clerk in the Bank of California. For a number of years past she has resided in this city and Berkeley. In the latter place she leaves some property.
Besides her husband she leaves three children to morn her loss. The funeral took place at 9 o'clock this morning from the Church of the Immaculate Conception, where a solemn requiem mass was celebrated by Father James Cranwell for the repose of her soul. Her remains were followed to St. Mary's cemetery by quite a number of friends.

A solemn requiem mass was celebrated by Father James Cramwell at the funeral of Mrs. Delfina A. Carrick yesterday morning in the Church of the Immaculate Conception. Mrs. Carrick died on Saturday at her home, 863 Alice Street, after a long illness. She was the daughter of Governor Juan B, Alvarado, and was 47 years of age at her death. Notice is hereby given that a petition for the probate of the will of Delfina A. Carrick, deceased, and for the issuance to J. H. Dohrmann of letters testamentary thereon has been filed in this Court, and that Monday, the 27th day of February, A. D. 1888, at 10 o'clock a. m. of said day, at the courtroom of Department No. 3 of said Court, at the courthouse in the City of Oakland, in the County of Alameda, has been set for the hearing by the Court of said petition, when and where any person interested may appear and contest the same.

Mrs. Delfina A. Carrick's will was introduced for probate yesterday. Deceased bequeathed G. M. Carrick, her husband, $100. There are several other small bequests, and the remainder of her estates is devised to J. H. Dohrmann in trust for her three children. The estate is worth about $6,000.
