Dorothy was born in Denton to the late Robert V. and Walene S. Jennings. She graduated from Texas Wesleyan College with a degree in fine arts. Dorothy enjoyed phenomenal success working with her husband, Cotton, in their family corporation, Quality Mobile Homes.
Dorothy's life is best described as a blessed life of service. She was the mayor of the town of Pantego. She had served as president of the Pantego Economic Development Corp., on the Pantego Crime Watch Board, and the Pantego Park and Recreation Board. Somehow, Dorothy found the time to serve on the 2010 Super Bowl Committee, the board of directors for the Humane Society of North Texas, and as a Republican precinct chair. She was the past president of the Arlington Arts League, past president of Pantego Lions Club, member of the Arlington Mayor's Council for Youth and served on the Tarrant County Republican Party Executive Committee.
Dorothy Aderholt was a second-degree black belt in taekwondo and was a martial arts instructor.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors: Loving husband, Cotton Aderholt; sister, Sandra Morrison; brother, Robert S. Jennings; sister, Debbie Burnham; sister, Pam Campbell; niece, Belinda Graham; niece, Cassy Burnham; niece, Sabrah Burnham; niece, Amy Campbell; nephew, Bruce Campbell; nephew, Robby Jennings; niece, Stacy Jennings; and niece, Bobbie Ray Jennings.
