Gail Arnett, 76, of Route 1, St. Marys, died March 13, 2002, at Camden-Clark Memorial Hospital.

He was born May 2, 1925, at Pike, Ritchie County, a son of Edna Everett Arnett of St. Marys and the late Delbert Pete Arnett. He was retired from Hope/Consolidated Gas after 35 years, retiring in 1980. He was a member of the Nine Mile United Methodist Church, St. Marys Lodge 41 A.F.&A.M., and St. Marys Chapter 31 Order of the Eastern Star, where he was past patron. He was a 32nd degree Scottish Rite Mason and a member of Nemesis Temple of the Shrine. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 57 years, one daughter, and her husband; one son, and his wife; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters; several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father.
