Wm. H. Moore, a highly respected citizen of Bethel township was found dead near his home 6 miles northeast of Bethel, by his brother, Tandy G. Moore, about 5 o'clock yesterday morning. The Coroner, Dr. Chas. Chapman, was called and went in company with Sheriff Perry to view the remains. He decided that Mr. Moore came to his death by his own hands.
He leaves a wife, one daughter, Mrs. Geo. Latimer near Oak Dale, two brothers, John H. Moore and Tandy G. Moore and one sister, Mrs. Redman of Monroe City. He had no unusual trouble that any one knew of. He had seemed, however, somewhat despondent over the present crop prospects. He was about 65 years of age.
It is a very sad occurrence and the relatives have the sympathy of every one. He was buried yesterday at 3 p. m. in Shiloh cemetery.
