Max Hayes Womack, 79, of Hot Springs passed away on Sunday, August 16.
The youngest of seven brothers, Max was born on March 16, 1930, in Murfreesboro, Arkansas, to Granville and Octavia Womack. He was a member of the Church of Christ.
Max graduated from Murfreesboro High School and served in the U. S. Navy. He received his Bachelor of Arts degree from Henderson State University in l959. He retired from the Social Security Administration having served in several locations before retiring in Hot Springs.
Max was preceded in death by his parents; one step-sister, Lois Stamps; and five brothers, Hollis, Clark, Ray, Hugh and Paul.
Survivors include one brother, Roland Womack of Hot Springs, one sister-in-law, Jean Womack of Texarkana, and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be at the Latimer Funeral Home in Murfreesboro on Tuesday, August 18th from 6:00-8:00 p.m..
The service will be Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. at the Pleasant Home Church of Christ in Murfreesboro with Bro. Wallace Alexander officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Home Cemetery, under the direction of Latimer Funeral Home, Murfreesboro.
Pallbearers will be nephews: Ron Statzer, Fred Hughes, Kenny Womack, Steve Womack, Larry Stewart and John Wesson. (from Latimer Funeral Home online obituary)
