Mrs. Regina Darlene Qualls Abernathy, 47, of Muscle Shoals, Regina, affectionately known as "Dollbaby," was born into this world Oct. 6, 1961, to the late Allen Sr. and Martha White Qualls. On Aug. 14, 2009, she was called to her Heavenly Home, where her parents, siblings, Jake Qualls Sr., Fredricka Steele, Maurice Qualls, Allen Qualls Jr. and Ruby Smith, will be there to greet her with open arms.
She accepted the Lord as her Savior at an early age and attended First Baptist Church with her mother and siblings.
Regina "Dollbaby" leaves to cherish her memories a loving and devoted husband, Terrell Leo Abernathy, Muscle Shoals, Ala.; two sons, whom she truly adored, Michael (Shante) Qualls, Florence, Ala., and Hollis Abernathy, Muscle Shoals, Ala.; two stepchildren, Celesta Abernathy, Los Angeles, Calif., and Lawanda Abernathy, Las Vegas, Nev.; four brothers, Jerry Qualls and Donald (Kate) King, both of Tuscumbia, Ala., Tyrone Qualls, Florence, Ala., Gregory (Liz) Thackston, Vancover, Wash.; two sisters, Jacqueline (Jessie) Qualls and Ruby (Nelson) Sanford, Sheffield, Ala.; one beloved grandson, LaDamian Stanford, Muscle Shoals, Ala.; four brothers-in-law, Grant Steele, Decatur, Ala., Robert (Kay) Abernathy, Perry Abernathy, Leighton, Ala., David (Myra) Abernathy, Tuscumbia, Ala.; seven sisters-in-law, Henrietta Warren, Flint, Mich., Willie Johnson, Los Angeles, Calif., Christine Bean and Debra (Donald) Qualls, Leighton, Ala., Mary Abernathy, Michelle Abernathy and Elaine Abernathy, all of Tuscumbia, Ala.; a special cousin, Jimmy Hughes, Leighton, Ala.; a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
