MRS. R. A. GORDON DIES IN HOSPITAL
Brecksville Resident Was Born on Walnut Street
Private funeral services will be held for Mrs. Gertrude Hofste Gordon of Brecksville, wife of Raymond A. Gordon, retired investment broker, and a lifelong resident of the Cleveland area.
Mrs. Gordon, who was born in 1879 on old Walnut Street, in the present downtown area, when it was an avenue of small white cottages, died Saturday at Hanna House University Hospitals, after a six month illness.
A longtime Lakewood resident, Mrs. Gordon had lived in Brecksville for the last 10 years.
Besides her husband, she is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Eunice Gorton, a son, G. Paul, and two grandchildren.
