" On June 9, 1902 the death angel visited the beautiful and happy home of Mrs. Sarah Gay and claimed her to the mother's band in heaven. There is a vacant seat for her in heaven where her beautiful soul shall dwell forever where all shall be peace and pleasure. Mrs. Gay was the mother of fifteen children and lingered along here long enough to see her 15th child nursing her 15th child. She was in her 91st year. She served her Lord as a Christian at the Macedonia Church from early womanhood. Her remains were interred at Indian Creek Cemetery on Wednesday June 11, 1902. "
