N. S. McMurray Funeral Service Is Held Monday
Funeral services were held Monday morning at the Danekas Funeral chapel
for Noral S. McMurray.
He died Friday after a three-weeks illness at the Adams County Memorial
hospital.
The deceased was born May 9, 1903, at Sanborn, Ia. Surviving are a son,
Thomas of Roseburg, Ore., a daughter, Patricia Holt of Moses Lake, and three
grandchildren, and Mrs. McMurray at the home.
Also surviving are two brothers, Neil and Ned, both of Seattle; and two
sisters, Mrs. Naomi Fuller and Mrs. Norman Durner, both of Seattle.
McMurray was a life-long baseball player, coach and fan. He actively coached
Legion ball clubs and Little Leaguers here for many years. He had been a
truck and bus driver for many years.
The Rev. James Updike conducted the funeral services. Pallbearers were
William Moeller, Bob Stanfield, Carl Kiehn, Walt Heimbigner, Danny Schroll
and Bill Sickmann. Burial was in the Ritzville Memorial cemetery.
