Thomas Wayne Griffith, 66, of Crescent City, died Thursday, July 16. Mr. Griffith was born March 26, 1926 in Fresno and had been a resident of Del Norte County for four years.

Mr. Griffith was employed for 32 years and retired as a park ranger with the State of California Parks and Recreation, was a Navy veteran, a member of the Del Norte County Ham Radio Club and the Del Norte County Sheriff's Reserves, and was a journeyman carpenter.

Survivors include his wife, Colleen; daughter, Terri Griffith-Villian of Crescent City; sons, Michael of Salinas and Donald of Phoenix, Ariz.; sisters, Betty Weber, Marilyn Schlotthaur and Carol Griffith, all of Fresno and four grandchildren.

Memorial may be made to Humboldt Home Health Care, 983 3rd St., Crescent City, or Evergreen Lodge c/o St. Joseph Hospital, 200 Dolbeer St., Eureka, 95501. Memorial services will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements have been under the direction of Wier's Mortuary Chapel, Crescent City.
