Son of Daniel Stratton b1794 in Sussex Co., NJ and Rachel Logan of Beaver Co., PA. Married Feb. 17,1852 Mary E. Hedges. Father of Inez b1853, Edward D. b1854 in Kent, MI, Fred b1857 married Emma Staubuck and Helen b1862.
David Stratton served in the Civil War first as Capt. in Co. G, 10th Regiment, Ohio Cavalry and then as Major.

The remains of Mr. Stratton, an old G. A. R. man, were taken March 15 To Norwalk. O., for interment. His wife died here a short time ago.
