FUNERAL RITES ARE SET TODAY FOR PEARL CHASE

Funeral rites for Mrs. Pearl CHASE, 67, who die Monday at Amarillo, have been scheduled for 2:00 p. m. today, (Thursday, June 27) in the First Methodist Church, Perryton.

Mrs. CHASE, who has been ill for the past several weeks, was dead on arrival at Northwest Texas Hospital in Amarillo, at 1:20 p.m. Monday, being rushed there from the home of her son, John W. CHASE, Jr., with whom she was visiting.

Rev. James E. Tidwell, Methodist pastor, will officiate for Mrs. CHASE's funeral. Interment will be in Ochiltree Cemetery, directed by Boxwell Brothers. Perryton Order of the Eastern Star chapter will conduct graveside rites.

Serving as pallbearers will be Bob DRAKE, John BLURTON, Billy SANDERS, D. E. WHITEHEAD, Dan SELL and Donald SELL.

Mrs. CHASE was a member of the First Methodist Church, the Order of the Eastern Star, in which she was past worthy matron, Perryton Business and Professional Women's Club, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was the widow of Dr. J. W. CHASE, who died in January 1963.

Mrs. CHASE was born Pearl Mabel ROBERTSON, the daughter of William H. ROBERTSON and Susan Winnie BYRD ROBERTSON, on April 21, 1901, at Settlement, Arkansas.

Survivors are two sons, John W. CHASE Jr. of Amarillo, and Robert J. CHASE of Newton, Kansas; two sisters, both living in California; six grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.
