Arthur Cence, age 67, died Tuesday, May 21 at Houston Community Hospital. Funeral services were held Thursday, May 23 at Bethel Baptist Church. Burial was in Bethel Cemetery with the Rev. Thomas Wicker officiating, assisted by the Rev. Ralph Cain.

The son of the late Arthur Luck Cence and the late Elizabeth Campbell, he was a retired accountant. He was born in El Rama, Pennsylvania and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Louise House Cence of Houston; one son, Brian Cence of Denver, Colorado; two stepdaughters; and five sisters, Mrs. Dorothy Selepchek of Miraloma, California, Mrs. Virginia Danser of San Francisco, California, Mrs. Helen Ruccinti, Mrs. Agnes Todd and Mrs. Lois Amitt, all of Denora, Pennsylvania

Pallbearers were Bob Mixon, Edwin Hancock, Ray Johns, Gary McQuary, W H Robertson and David Lewis Criddle.

Houston Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
