Charles H. Bolton, 85, Ruth Road, died Thursday, March 15, at Humana Hospital Lake Cumberland following a short illness.

A former magistrate, merchant, and farmer, he was a member of Friendship Methodist Church.

Born June 2, 1898, at Dykes, he was the son of James Madison Bolton and Mary Ellen Farmer Bolton.

He was married September 18, 1920, in Somerset to the former Ina Waddle, who survives.

Other survivors are a son, Charles Eugene Bolton, Somerset; a daughter, Edith Bolton Holland, Richmond, Missouri; two sisters, Martha Bolton Ramsey, Peebles, Ohio, and Bertha Bolton Hargis, Somerset; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Five brothers, John, Jim, Neal, Lee and Ed Bolton, and a sister, Mamie Helton, preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, at East Somerset Baptist Church with the Rev. Dale Adkins and Elder S.L. Sears officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeside Memorial Gardens.

Visitation will begin after 6 p.m. tomorrow at the chapel of Pulaski Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
