Janet (Barnes) Meyer, 78, died August 23, 2009 in Phoenix. She was born May 8, 1931 in Cincinnati, OH to Francis Arnold and Helen Edell (Steinhauser) Barnes and was raised in Aurora, IN before moving to Phoenix in 1946. Here she graduated from North Phoenix High School in 1949.
On December 26, 1951 she was married to Thomas Willard Meyer who preceded her in death on May 17, 1997. To this union four children were born: Rochelle (J Patrick) Riordan, Corinne (Lawrence Randall) Marchiori, Christopher Thomas Meyer and Jennifer Ann (Scott) Gibson. Six grandchildren and one great grandson also survive. She was preceded in death by a brother, Burton Francis Barnes.
Tom and Janet moved to Pinetop, AZ in 1967 where they owned and operated the Pinetop Country Store for many years.
Services were private with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Avondale.
