Age 58, of Albion, formerly of Spring Lake, went to be with his Lord on Monday evening, August 3, 2009.

He was born May 7, 1951 in Grand Rapids to Ian and Nellie (Homer) Gleason.

After high school Greg earned his Master Mechanic and Electrical Engineer certifications.

Greg married Jerry (Chrysler) Gleason in Grand Haven on June 20, 1990 and together they earned their Private Pilot certifications and Amateur Radio licenses. He was a General class radio operator and instructor with many FEMA certifications.

Throughout his life, Greg had worked as an automation and project engineer in robotics and networking computer systems in large and small industries. Later he ran his own small business in computer, automation and factory networking. Greg enjoyed ham radio, fishing, and working on his projects and prototypes.

He is survived by his wife, Jerry; 2 brothers David (Adelade) Gleason and Dennis Gleason; 2 sisters Nola (Bill) Haisma and Carla Walker; brother and sister-in-law Mark and Sheryl Boyer and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother-in-law and a sister-in-law.

Visitation for family and friends was held on Monday, August 10, 2009 from 10:00 A.M. until 11:00 A.M. at the Throop Funeral Home, 214 Church Street, Coopersville, MI 49404. Funeral Service was Monday at 11:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. James Lee officiating. Burial: Nunica Cemetery, Crockery Township, Michigan. Memorial Contributions may be made to the family.
