Faye F. Fogal, 95, of 186 Bayberry Drive, Chambersburg, PA, died at 7:10 PM Thursday, August 20, 2009 in the Chambersburg Hospital. Born May 12, 1914 in Fulton County, PA, she was a daughter of the late William R. and Rosa Deshong Mellott. Mrs. Fogal was a 1933 graduate of the former Green Hill High School in Fulton County and later owned and operated the former Fogal's Grocery in New Franklin, retiring in June of 1974. She was a member of Corpus Christi Catholic Church where she was active with the Columbian Ladies. She enjoyed playing cards. Her beloved husband, Edward F. Fogal, whom she married May 1, 1938, preceded her in death in February of 1966. She is survived by a son, William E. Fogal of Chambersburg; a sister, Rosella S. Souders of Big Cove Tannery, PA; a sister-in-law Ida Marie Fogal of Ft. Pierce, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three infant daughters, Helen L. Fogal in 1938, Dorothy A. Fogal in 1939 and Rosalee E. Fogal in 1945; two brothers and four sisters. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Rev. Keith M. Carroll at 10:00 AM Tuesday, August 25, 2009 in Corpus Christi Catholic Church, 320 Philadelphia Avenue, Chambersburg. Interment will follow in Corpus Christi Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7:00-9:00 PM Monday at Thomas L. Geisel Funeral Home, 333 Falling Spring Road, Chambersburg. PA.
