Miss Mary Lee Wadsworth 87, of Charlotte, died Wednesday, July 2, 1997, at her home.
A service to celebrate the life of Miss Wadsworth will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 3, 1997, at Third Presbyterian Church with Reverend William G. Young officiating. Burial will follow at Sharon Memorial Park. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service in the church fellowship hall.
Miss Wadsworth was born August 7, 1909 in Carthage, NC, a daughter of the late John and Mattie Wadsworth. She was a member of Third Presbyterian Church for eighty years, where she taught Sunday school. In 1978, she received an honorary life membership in the Women of the Church, Presbyterian Church, USA. Her spiritual Christian life was an inspiration to all who knew her.
Miss Wadsworth is survived by her twin sister, Miss Nelle Wadsworth of Charlotte; niece, Mrs. Linda LaPorta of Southport, NC; nephews, Jack Wadsworth of Southport, NC, Gilbert Wadsworth of Mesa, AZ, and Jerry Wadsworth of Charlotte.
She is also survived by eight great-nieces and nephews and seven great-great-nieces and nephews.
