Mrs. Lewis E.Eyman died at her home in Philadelphia on Saturday, Feb. 16. That Mrs.Eyman had been ill suffering with stomach trouble was known to the members of her immediate family but they had received no intimation that her illness was alarming. Saturday morning her parents, Mr. and Mr. B.K. Durfee, received a message saying that Mrs.Eyman was critically ill. Mrs.Durfee and her daughter,Miss Edith Durfee started on the noon train for Philadelphia.A short time after their departure a message came that Mrs.eyman was dead. A telegraph message was forwarded to intercept Mrs.Durfee and her daughter and tell them to return to Decatur. The expectation is that the funeral party will leave Philadelphia for Decatur tonight.
Lucille Durfee, daughter of Mr.and Mrs.Bradford K. Durfee was one of the most beautiful women in Decatur where she grew to womanhood and up to the time of her marriage and departure from this city she was one of the most popular women in the social circles of this city.
