John J. Glebus Sr.
CROWN POINT — John J. Glebus Sr., 85 of the Lakeshore Rd., Crown Point, died Friday Dec. 17, 1999 at the Porter Medical Center, Middlebury, Vt. John was born May 10, 1914 at Witherbee, the son of Mathew and Katherine (Dembrosky) Glebus.
He was a retired employee of Republic Steel Corp., Mineville.
He was an avid hunter and fisherman.
He is survived by his daughters, Donna Glebus of Port Henry and Joan Heilman of Clifton Park; his sons, John Glebus of Crown Point and William Glebus of Crown Point; his sister, Anna Podres of Witherbee; his brother, Anthony Glebus, of Witherbee; and eight grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his wife, Helen (Murphy) Glebus and his brother, Joseph Glebus.
Calling hours will be held Sunday Dec. 19, 1999, 7 to 9 p.m. at the Harland Funeral Home, Port Henry. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Monday Dec. 20, 1999 10 a.m. from the Sacred Heart Church, Crown Point. Burial will follow in St. Patricks Cemetery, Moriah.
