D.R. "Hoss" Brumfield, 76, Borger, died at 1:35 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 20, 1990 in High Plains Baptist Hosptial [sic] in Amarillo.
Funeral services will be at 3 p.m. Friday at Bunavista Baptist Church with the Rev. Philip Hilton, pastor, officiating, and the Rev. Richard Skaggs, assisting.
Burial will be in Highland Park Cemetery by Minton-Chatwell Funeral Directors of Borger.
Mr. Brumfield was born in Achille, Okla., April 8, 1914, and was a Borger resident for 43 years. He was an operator at Copolymer Plant of Phillips Petroleum Company until his retirement in 1979.
He was a Baptist and member of OCAW. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy.
He married Dora Roberts Dec. 11, 1937 in Durant, Okla.
Survivors include his wife of the home; one daughter, Linda Todd of Borger; two brothers, Tom Brumfield and Joe Brumfield, both of Dallas; four sisters, Mrs. Coy Walker of Dallas; Ardith Latham of Salem, Ore.; Ruth Day and Helen Jacobs, both of Garland.
