Probably buried at his homeplace, now the site of Liberty University. An alternative would be the Burying Ground at South River Meeting, now Quaker Presbyterian Church in Lynchburg. Land Patent on Moorman River, 1741 • Albemarle Co, VA
1739,D. Mills patent granted 2850 acres on the N. Fork of river. 1741 D. Doyle obtained grant of 800A on stream. 1741, Thomas Moorman patented 750 lower down the main river. It is his name remembered as Moorman's River.

Will, 2 Jul 1765 • Bedford County, VA
He owned many slaves leaving by name 13 as legacies to his wife & children in his will. Proved in court, Bedford Co, VA, 11/25/1766. Executrix Rachel Moorman [wife] & Executors Zachariah & Micajah Moorman [sons]

Death, 10 Nov 1765 • Lynchburg (Independent City) near Campbell & Bedford Co, VA
South River MM Quaker minutes notice of his death. Thomas "a worthy member" died. Minutes show 11/10/1767 as date of death but it CANNOT be correct because his former MM reported his death 5 months earlier & probate was 11/25/1766.

Probate, 25 Nov 1766 • Bedford Co, Virginia. [Wills were not probated in Independent Cities but in a nearby county. Lynchburg is surrounded by Bedford, Campbell, & Amherst counties.]

6 Jun 1767, South River MM, Quakers located in Louisa Co, VA, Thomas Moorman, member and Elder of this Meeting, where he previously belonged - reported deceased & a Memorial was read out.
