VICTOR E. ANDERSON
Victor Ecanuel Anderson, son of John and Kersten Anderson was born August 5, 1877 at Scandia and passed away March 14, 1961 at the hospital in Belleville, at the age of 83 years, 7 months and 9 days.
He received his education in the public schools in Scandia.
In 1908 on the 3rd day of June he was united in marriage to Annie Claudia Olson at Belleville. To this union four children were born: Elaine Goslem, Mystic, Iowa; Leona Sipes of Pueblo, Colo. Winona Flasher of Concordia and Donald Anderson of Belleville.
In 1909 Vic homesteaded in western Nebraska. He spent the rest of his life in various businesses of Cleaner and Tailor, also in the ice business.
Since 1949 he has made his home in Belleville. He was a member of the Amana Lutheran church, his parents being charter members of this congregation.
He was preceded in death by his wife Annie and his parents. He is survived by his children, four grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
Funeral services were held at the Bachelor – Faulkner – Dart Funeral Home, Scandia with the Rev. Maurice Graham officiating, on Thursday, March 16, 1961 at 10 am. Interment was in Riverview cemetery, Scandia.
