Beatrice D. Lasceski, 91, of Kinde died Friday, Sept. 26, 2008 under hospice care at New Beginnings Adult Foster Care in Filion.
She was born, May 24, 1917, in Dwight Township, daughter of the late Frank and Agnes (Ratajczak) Majeski.
Beatrice is survived by her daughters, Delphine (Bernie) Rutkowski of Kinde and Royce (Jerry) Williams of St. Clair; grandchildren, Lamont (Jayne) Ignash of Kinde, Melissa Fernandez of Las Vegas, Sandee (Tim) Henderson of Pigeon, and Lori (Ron) Earl of Port Huron; step-grandchildren, Cheryl (Gene) Carson of Harbor Beach and Brenda (Renn) Cramer of Caro. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren, Lamont (Brandi) Ignash Jr. of Texas, Noah and Jacob Henderson, Jacqueline and Lucas Earl, Kayla Carson, and Brandon and Kaitlin Sharrer; her sister-in-law, Marion Murawski; and several nieces and nephews
She was preceded in death by her former husband, Harry Lasceski; sister and brother-in-law, Theresa and Ted Puvalowski; a brother, David; and her nephew Andy Puvalowski.
Beatrice was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Dwight Township and of the Holy Rosary Sodality. She enjoyed attending polka dances and sewing. She was an excellent seamstress, sewing and designing her own dresses as well as those for her daughters and granddaughters. Beatrice also worked at Bad Axe Seat Belt.
Funeral Mass was conducted at 11 a.m. today, Sept. 29, 2008 at St. Edward’s Catholic Church in Kinde. Burial took place in St. Mary’s Church Cemetery in Dwight Township. Arrangements were handled by the Knoblock Funeral Home in Kinde.
