Obituary transcribed by Kay Parrish Thompson (46967117)

Annie Mae was the wife of Charlie Albert Anderson , next to whom she is buried. She is the daughter of John Jackson Currie and Johanna Gillis Currie. Johanna is buried in Evergreen Cemetery in Jacksonville, Fl and John's burial site is unknown. Annie Mae and Charlie had three children: Sue Nell Anderson Johnson of Jacksonville,Fl., Lee Roy Anderson and Charlie Anderson both of Richmond Hill, Ga. Prior to her marriage to Charlie Anderson she was married to Cliff Hayes and had two daughters to live: Beulah Hayes Colson and Vernie Inez Galbreath both of Hazlehurst. She and Cliff also had a son that lived a very short time: Preston Hayes, who only lived to be four years of age and a little girl, Nancy Pearl who did not live. She was married to Charlie when she died. She died in a Savannah hospital from a self inflicted abortion. I had been told all my life that she was kicked in the tummy by a horse while pregnant. Not sure if my mother or her siblings knew the truth, as my mother, being the eldest of the three (Andersons) was only eight years of age.
