LARGO, FLA. – Warren D. Adair Sr., 90, a native of Youngstown, Ohio died Friday Aug. 21, after a short illness from cancer under the care of hospice.

Warren was born Aug. 5, 1919 in Danville, Ill., a son of Russell and Stella Adair.

Warren graduated from South High School and attended Youngstown College.

He was in the U.S. Army Air Force, where he served as a medic overseas for more than 3 1/2 years in World War II. He was a mechanical engineer for McCay Machine Co., which later became Wean United, retiring in 1981, after more than 35 years of service.

Warren’s wife, June C. Adair, whom he married in 1945, passed away in 2007. He was also preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Clarence, Norman and Marvin.

Warren is survived by three sons, Warren D. Jr. (Frances) of Austintown, Ohio; Thomas F. (Judy) of Oklahoma and Timothy M. (Karen) of Florida; a daughter, Maureen F. Burke of Canfield, Ohio; 13 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

There will be a memorial service at 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 28, at Bay Pines National Cemetery in St. Petersburg, Fla.

Any monetary donations may be given to Suncoast Hospices, 5771 Roosevelt Blvd., Clearwater, FL 33760.

Arrangements are being handled by the Mohn Funeral Home and Cremations in Seminole, Fla.
