George M. Field Jr was born in Easton, Northampton, Pennsylvania on October 14, 1926. He was the son of the late Emma H. Field nee Stocker and the late George M. Field. He grew up in Palmer, Northampton, Pennsylvania. On March 7, 1945, he enlisted in the U. S. Army. December 24, 1953 at the College Hill Presbyterian Church in Easton, PA, he married Helena Gladys Blum of Brainards, Warren, New Jersey. They had one child, a son named George M. Field, III, who died in 1979 at age 24. At the time of his death, George M. Field, Jr was survived by his former wife, Helena Gladys Sutton of Bethlehem, PA. Mrs. Sutton passed away in 2004 in Bethlehem PA. Mrs. Sutton and son George M. Field, III are at rest in the Lower Valley Union Cemetery, Califon, Hunterdon, New Jersey.
