Shannon Addis, age 40, of Rocky Face, passed away Tuesday, August 25, 2009. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, James & Edith Addis; maternal grandfather, Lee Davidson. Survivors include his parents, David & Linda Addis of Rocky Face; fiancé, Denita Brown of Dalton; brother & sister-in-law, Steve & Kem Addis of Rocky Face; grandmother, Daisy Davidson of Rocky Face; nieces, Hannah Addis & Tori Brown; aunts & uncles, Charles & Linda Addis and Charles & Julia Davidson, all of Rocky Face. The funeral service will be held Friday, August 28, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. at the Westside Chapel of Julian Peeples Funeral Home with Rev. David Pangle and Rev. Todd Pangle officiating. Burial will be in Dunnagan Cemetery. A White Dove Release Ceremony will conclude the service. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Center or Shriners Hospitals for Children, Burn Unit.
